The Big Fella seems to have found his swing!:

Some purty fancy shootin' there, Doc!

Look also who's tied at #19...JES I!

That's awesome..he also tied Robin McCool of Saucon Valley who's a tournament stalwart around here for many years.

Way to go Bill!

by the way, Martin...that's Sully's dad I believe.

Mike, he did say JESI, and our Sully here goes by JESII.  So methinks you just made a great statement of the obvious.

 ;D ;D

Anyway great going Dr. V!  But of course the man always had a swing... what he likely has regained is lower back health.

Just based on how good he always said he was I can't see him being ga-ga about +11.

+11 - Greens described in best Scots parlance as, and I quote: "Bollocks".

'Nuff said. ;)

Where was this played?  Nice going Redanman.

JakaB/Barney does have a way about him, doesn't he?  ;)

Bill,

Waynesborough CC

Host of the 2000 and 2002 SEI Pennsylvania Classic on the PGA Tour, also the 1999 Phila. Open, among other events I am sure.

A long, strong George Fazio (I think?) course that is short on charm, but plenty of challenge for tournament level golf. Held up to the Tour guys, but in this town would struggle to get inside the top 15 for my money...

Nice playing, Redanman.  Its fun to see GCAers past and present competing and doing well in "real" events.  Good luck to the Mid-Am qualifier contestants tomorrow, too.

Cheers,
Brad

I was searching for redanman's blog today and stumbled on this jewel.  http://www.rateitall.com/reviewercomments.aspx?RI=20072503

Michael,

The picture reminded me of an old Charlie Brown looking at the party where he was not invited.  http://redanman.com/default.aspx

Bill, his wife Renee (a good player), Laura and I played in a mixed member-guest at Lehigh last week.  Bill played very, very well (73), I added an 82, and we won the low gross (two better balls of the foursome).  It was a real honor to play, and I had an absolutely wonderful time.

That boy can sure hit the ball.  I don't stink, but he was probably 30 yards further than me on most every tee shot.

We were crazy enough to walk in 95 degree heat and humidity, but the routing at Lehigh is so good that it was a pleasurable walk (but I did trink about 2 gallons of water).

John - I love the photo on his website.  To me, it's a scene of a guy experiencing a satisfied joy at being at the Home of Golf.

As the photographer of note, I hope you appreciate the composition, emotion and elegance of this - one of my finer ASS-PICS!!! ;D ;D

Easy mistake to make. They are very VERY similar views. BIG clue is Berwick Law in the background. edit - Oh, and THE REDAN in the foreground!! ;)

As I recall, the Dr's hat actually says, "Home of The Redan" or similar on the back.

You must rectify the whole 'not been to Scotland' thing soonest! ;)
