Adam,

The qualification of a "muni" is a disservice to CB in my opinion.  As a GOLF COURSE it is not to be missed.  There is stuff there that will make your spirit soar.  BTW thanks for posting that outstanding photograph of a dead sexy hole at Ballyneal.

I thought maybe the mermaid hole was at Stone Harbor, so I looked it up; it was actually at Aberdeen in Florida - found an overhead.

I think 10 at Chambers is one of the 2 or 3 best holes on the course. It is the sexiest. I think it stands out as a hole all should look forward to playing and talking about post round. I am told the dozier tracks will be gone after one rainy and growing season. I do think there are questions as to whether the fairway traps can go as long without maintenance as seemed to be the case while I was there. The shadows there do take your breath away as well as the view once one gets to the green.

Tim, I'm still not sure if you are being sarcastic.  I intensely dislike holes like the one you posted.  Firstly, a dogleg over or around houses never turns out well in the long run as Bill pointed out.  Secondly, I don't enjoy water hazards blocking the entire front of a long par 5.  It stifles creativity by removing all but one option for the approach.

Cmon - There's a lot of fun going on at Muirhead's course.  You've gotta love those cross bunkers next to the Mermaid hole and the (bird?) bunkers before it.  I always thought that Muirhead was not taking things too seriously and that that was good for GCA, too bad more of that attitude didn't rub off on Jack.  To me Myacoo Lakes and Muirfield Village are probaby his best "collaborations".
