Golf in NY

Hey Guys,

My father and I are going to be in New York City from Sept. 9th-14th and would like some suggestions on where to tee it up. We are staying accross the street from Central Park and are going to try and take in all the sites and sounds, but I think I'll go crazy if I don't play at least once.

I'm going to have my head pro call ahead for me, but I have no idea what course(s) I'll be able to get on! Any suggestions would be great and I'd love to play with any GCA'ers in the area if they would like to join us. Thanks ahead of time!

PS- This is my first trip to the Empire State, I can't wait!

Well hopefully you are flying into Newark! (NJ is the Garden State, not NY!)

I do think everyone should play Bethpage (516) 249-0707. But I do not know the out of state policy. See me on IM for other info.

I'm flying into Newark on the 13th or morning of the 14th and will be with clubs for the first time in NY if you'd like to play.

When making your plans, be sure to check the aeration schedule as its that time of year in the Met Area.

I think if its just Pat and his dad, they could probably show up at Bethpage early on a weekday morning, and get on the Black.
