Has anyone mentioned his work -- or, in my case, my "work"?

I have read your work and while very good for a writer, it does not draw out my "passion".

Or your compehension, either -- apparently.

Or maybe you were just being a smart-aleck.

Sweet another Tool fan!  I thought if I juxtaposed my love for bluegrass/newgrass with my affection for Tool in my previous post that GCA might implode into a cataclysmic black hole.

Cheers,

Kirk/Brad,

Listen to Genesis: "Fly on a Windshield/Broadway Melody of 1974" and then "Sober" by Tool.

Love 'em both.

Cory Lewis is also a Tool fan.

Live to Ride, Ride to Life - the Harley motto that I used to adhere to but golf has taken over.

Same, sadly, goes for snowboarding, which I haven't done in three years.  But I still daydream of fresh powder....

Wine, and especially port, during the winter.

Well done Doug, I assume you do not play with a Joker.  Euchre is our club's after golf game, and has been for all of my 27 years there, often with a bottle of red wine.

My grandfather taught me how to play when I was about 4 or 5.

Just for the sake of being included here:
Somehow I did not discover Italian Opera until a few years ago - a Puccini Opera is just about as good as it gets for an evening - Butterfly, La Boheme, Turandot, Tosca - you can't go wrong.
My other love is photography - especially golf course photography.  Can't think of a better time than 8:00PM walking a course and taking pictures.

USC Trojan football

Irish history

TH

Huck,
Do you see a problem with having both of these on the same list? The Irish might kick you out of their country  ;) ;D

That is rather odd, admittedly.  But hell, real Irishmen hate Notre Dame as much as I do, as the school truly does put the p in poseur.

TH

While I am sure that there are Irish men and women that hate Notre Dame, I think as a group they have much more love for the Irish than many other groups have (specifically Native Americans) do for the nicknames they are associated with. I'll give you that ND is the most hated university in the country, but its also the most loved. Heck, I see more ND gear in Albuquerque than ANY other school outside the state. Only one that comes close is Texas. USC? Notta.

And oh yeah...my other interests (since I never bothered to list them)...

Coaching/teaching (admittedly involves golf, but who would want to be coached on being a compliance auditor or loan review officer?)
Other sports, college basketball especially, photography, movies, music, hiking occasionally, recently rediscovered racquetball

No Joker James. Euchre's a great game and easy enough that even I can play it. Not many people play it here in the Rockies so I mainly play online.

I enjoy self-righteous moralizing, condescention and judgmentalism, particularly where hypocrisy is also involved.

So there.  ;D

Which makes me wonder:

Do you enjoy that stuff so much because you're so good at it -- or are you so good at it because you enjoy it so much?

(BTW: I'm very happy to see that you've moved on from hypocricy to hypocrisy. Can't wait for the move to condenscension! So there.          )

Bruce:  thank you for the admission.  It will make my case against you with Child Protective Services that much easier.  Obviously anyone who proclaims #7 above is foolish, but foisting such upon one's child is obvious abuse.

ps - go find my post in this where I list my interests - I think it's on the first page - and this will make sense.

Yes, I made a note to take with a pinch of salt anyone with sufficiently poor taste to follow the Woolwich Arsenal.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.
