OT- Highs and Lows
« on: August 09, 2007, 01:41:01 PM »

I got the following story from a buddy who has one of those golf calendars with a different tidbit each day.  Anyone ever had something like this, (golf-related), happen to them where you went thru such a massive range of highs and lows.

"University of Wisconsin football coach Barry Alvarez suffered painful moments of despair after a euphoric reaction to a shot.  The coach got the thrill of a lifetime by accepting a rare invitation to play Augusta Naional in 2005. On just the 2nd hole, he leaped into the air to watch his well-struck approach shot run up tight to the flag. Unfortunately, he accidentally banged his club hard against his left foot.  Alvarez tried to play on, but was in too much pain.  He had to quit and head to the hospital where x-rays showed he had a broken bone."

"After all, I didn't object when TEPaul showed up in a skirt and we played in the USGA Mixed Championship together."
