A penal parkland course doesn't do much for me, pedigreed or not.

The fees, payed not by me of course, were only $39 per 18 including cart.  Nice.

I thought you only liked your public golf rare and expensive?  ;D

Andy Troeger had a good answer.

David Gill might disagree with the pedigreeless part.

John;

Being in the Terre Haute area, have you play that old classic Quail Creek course in Robinson, ILL? If so, what was it like? It is a possible destination for us.

I am a member at Quail Creek in Robinson, IL.  I really only hit balls there occasionally and play less then half a dozen times a year.  I would say it is not worth the effort when you have better courses near the Evansville area to play.  Quail Crossing, Cambridge, Audubon Park, Sulton's Run, Helfrich, Fendrich...etc...etc..
