Good god, Mayday, just post. I'm waiting in the car for my wife's plane to land and the suspense is killing me!

Why do I get the feeling there is going to be a redesign proposal in Mikey's post on Architect's?  I agree with BillV  :P  Get on with it, Malone!

Work keeps getting in the way!

I enjoyed the course. I really enjoyed the width of the fairways. It was an opportunity to see how that width enhances the strategy at the green. I would only change the fact that they had two Ross holes; give someone else a chance.

At my knowledge level of the architect's they chose ,I thought they did a great job of emulating concepts without using templates. For instance, the Wilson hole ( par 5) resembled #2 at Merion for the tee shot, appeared similar to #10 for the approach ( although the bunkering was on the right) and the green seemed most like #14. The Macdonald hole was a uphill par 3 but it had a plateau green rather than a redan. The Old Tom Morris hole which was the opener was a par five like #1 at Royal County Down. It had the whispery bunkers and a nicely placed rivetted bunker by the green.

The bunkering was of the style of the architect so it was quite different from hole to hole.

I thought the fairways need some more firm conditioning. Almost every tee shot sat down in the fairway.

All in all I would go back on  Pa. Tuesday for $55.
