Not memorable?  That is why you forgot the architectural attribution?  You weren't sure how to spell it either.  Both are easy enough to look up.  Hmmm, that's hard to believe.  It has quite a few excellent holes, some solid holes and only one or two weak holes.  It also has some of the best views in the Delaware Valley with the land surrounding Winterthur and the rolling hills of a very low density portion of Delaware.  Those du Ponts knew what they were doing.  Come on, you are unnecessarily slamming a very good golf course.  You are not ever going to get into the Menage a Trois with that attitude, Malone (not that you had a shot in heck top begin with ;)).

Is that "top" typo a Freudian slip?

With apologies for using Sandy's original post I thought I would ask this as the thread seemed to have the attention of the Philadelphia guys...

I will be traveling to the Philadelphia area this fall for the Sunday of the Crump Cup to view Pine Valley for the first time!  The chance to see the course is enough for me to fly in for the weekend, but since I will be there I thought I would ask and see if any area members would like to play a round with me on that Saturday or the following Monday as I will be traveling solo.  If anyone is interested just let me know  :).

Does the Crump always fall on the last Sun. in Sept.? If so, there is no Eagles conflict---night game with Giints.

   Kyle,

There are two oft discussed courses near PV. Pine Hill and Scotland Run. Don't be deceived by "Scotland" in the second course's name. It refers to a small creek nearby.

Kyle,

You're picking the right time to play golf in Philadelphia. If you have some time, and can't get someone to meet up with you, check out Jeffersonville in Norristown. It's the East Norriton Twp. Municipal course and a Ross/McGovern course that had a very well-publicized restoration/renovation done by Ron Prichard.

Furthermore, if you have the means, a trip up Rt. 422 to Reading Country Club is definitely worth it, and you can probably twist Mike Cirba's arm to join you if your schedules mesh.

There could be an off chance I'll be back in the area, and if I am, I'd love to show you around and discuss the recent completed Penn State/Illinois football matchup and golf.

That all sounds fine as long as we are able to get together somewhere in the south over the winter for golf and further discussion of the Illinois/Penn State basketball matchup.

Of course, Kyle.

I'll talk all you want about the February 2006 Penn State/Illinois basketball match up at Illinois.  ;)

In all seriousness, the Illinois/PSU football game has "trap game" written all over it.
