I've deleted a few of the superfluous posts above that I made, so we only have the near above list.  We have some 10+ CONFIRMED.  And, that doesn't include Jason Mandel and his 3 friends that made their own reservations for one round at Lawsonia.

I will wait a little longer to add the specific members of the Morreau family upon Dan giving me their confirmation status.  Also, the gentlemen from Spring Valley who may only be able to join in at Ozaukee CC.

Anyone wanting to just attend one round or one day, should get Dan's e-mail link and get a registration form.  IM me of your desire.  I am hoping we will reach at least 6 foursomes at Lawsonia, and some good turn out at the rest of the venues.

But, please don't delay.  It is only fair to the golf course operators and the restaurant for the discussion dinner, that we get our numbers set via reservations within a reasonable lead time for them.

Thanks Phil.

I think Ozaukee will open some eyes as a very fine course.  1929 Western Open venue and home to the 16th hole renewed by Ron Forse.  IMHO, Sunday Ozaukee followed by Ron Forse's slideshow presentation on Langford and Moreau will be the highlight of the weekend.

Bumped again.  We have Greg Fleisher, Evan's cousin confirmed.

We are getting close to the drop dead date.  This week, I will be confirming the Sat evening meal reservations.

Please do not delay.  IM me if you'd like to attend any one or more of these rounds as described by Dan above.

There are some who stated they were coming, but are not yet confirmed.  I will be recontacting everyone that has sent a check, prior to depositing and paying for the rounds in the coming week or two.  Thus, if you wish to back out, that will be your last chance.  Then, after I pay them, if you need a refund, it will be between you and the course operator.

Lawsonia has 24 slots set aside and a few are still open.

If anyone is a jazz lover, the Kettle Moraine Jazz festival is the same Friday and and Saturday in West Bend as this event.  Its a big event that attracts people from all over the midwest. I can secure tickets for anyone interested.

Dave, nothing like a late vote coming in from the Chicago precincts to put the deal over the top!  ;D

Mike, if anyone has the stamina to do jass festival and this tour, they are a far better man than I...  ::) ;D

Mike,

That's a tough choice.  A second 18 on Lawsonia Saturday afternoon or Kyle Eastwood's band.  Do you think his Dad will be in town, he would love Lawsonia.   ;D  The Friday night headliners look like fun.

As Dick said we need to lock up the reservations by the end of this week.  We still have a few slots available for the entire trip.

It also looks like we will have a few openings for Sunday at Ozaukee available.  If anyone wants to join us at 10:30 am for a round at Ozaukee and Ron Forse's Langford Moreau Slideshow Presentation after the round send me an email.

Good guess Dick...but actually it is Greg FLESHER (notice the "i" is missing)...and although we are pretty close, he is simply my best friend with no family relations whatsoever.  A common mistake with the two of us!!!  Either way, we are both psyched to attend and are arriving dinner time into MKE on Thursday.  Anyone interested in some sort of late dinner or get-together?  We are staying at a Fairfield Inn down in Racine.

Its THIS weekend?  I thought it was going to be the second week in September, which I couldn't make.  If its now scheduled for this weekend I might be able to make it if I can get out of the dragon boat race...

My buddy Greg and I are going to try and get in a few more rounds at the tail end of this get-together.

Depending on how things wrap up at Ozaukee on Sunday...we may try and pop down the street to Brown Deer Park for 18 (if time and daylight permits).

Also, we are both sstaying over until Monday afternoon...so a round at Erin Hills is in the works.

Anyone interested in joining us for either/or should IM me soon!!!

Here is a link to the Saturday night dinner and roundtable discussion location.

http://www.jtskewers.com/
then pick on menu tab...

They would like an idea of what to prepare for.   I suggest that of the  22 or so people attending, they ought to be prepared for at least 12-16 having the Saturday night special which is Prime Rib.

If you don't want prime rib, and want something else, IM me ASAP with your selection.

If we can keep our selections to a minimum of three, (alternatives - the chicken OR fish) we will get served faster and have more time for our discussions...

So, IM or e-mail me.  rjdaley@new.rr.com

I'm taking a cue from Mike Whitaker and keep bringing this to the top.  It is hard to keep up with all the suicide and murder holes being discussed.  ::) :-\

We still have slots open.  You can still get in.

I have Flesher and Fleisher's choices...

They are offering a $25 a head flat fee to include a variety of appetizers, olive garden style bowl salads on table, and tip for all dinners.   I think that is pretty good.

I am looking at possible match-ups today and some tasty matches are simmering.

By the way folks, we have hit our goal of 24 players overall but since a few are not playing everyday we still have a couple of openings for the entire event and several for each day if anyone wants to come for just one day.

In particular we have slots for Friday at Spring Valley with Dave Esler and for Sunday at Ozaukee for the Ron Forse Presentation.  These are both highlights of this event that shouldn't be missed.  Anyone who wants to join us on Friday or Sunday only is welcome to send me an email at troonster@aol.com and we will slot you in.

I also heard that Ron Whitten recently paid both Spring Valley and Lawsonia a visit for a story he is doing on Langford Moreau for Golf Digest.  I can't wait to see what he and everyone who will be seeing Spring Valley for the first time think about the course.  Dave Esler will have some interesting things to say about Spring Valley I'm sure.

To all participants:  You will receive an email on Tuesday with some of the particulars of the event including start times, preliminary matches and directions.

Looking forward to it.

Cheers.
