I flipped back and forth between the two, but because Weir was in it at Congressional, I mostly watched that tournament.  WS does look really neat, but it bugs when when you have a course that is obviously designed to look and play like a links course have a design aspect built into it that does not allow a proper ground game to be played.  Albeit I didn't see very mush of the Senior Open, but whenever I was watching I would see guys try to play a ground shot into the green only to watch it land short and stay short.  They talked about this being a design feature that Dye wanted on the course, to have bent grass approaches.  I think this is crazy.  It doesn't allow you to be creative with your shots.  He's making you do everything with an aerial game which doesn't make sense to me when you have a course right beside the lake with the high winds.

Very good point, Evan - that was driving me a bit batty as well.
