Dan:
Um, no -- at least not for the regular tour guys who played it a few years at the PGA there. I think it's one of the coolest holes on the course, and what you may not see on TV is the isolated nature of the tee -- it sits right in front of a massive ravine that is a pretty big forced carry for anyone but the mighty. The centerline bunker does come into play, obviously, but when I watched the hole (for about an hour) at a practice round, most guys were placing irons/fairway woods to the right of the centerline bunker. It played short for the PGA -- I recall around 350-360 yards or so -- and plays somewhat uphill. Singh really won the PGA on this hole, when he took driver in the playoff and blasted it past the bunker and down the left side (a pretty gutsy play) for an easy 50-yard chip and birdie to go 1 up in the playoff.
I think for nearly everyone else in the world, it's a tremendously intimidating hole, both in look and play. Pete Dye has said it's his favorite hole on the course.
