did Ron Whitten REALLY score a 30 on the 18th?
« on: June 07, 2007, 10:34:34 PM »
According to Donald Trump, in the latest SI Golf Plus, Ron Whitten scored a 30 on the 18th at Trump International.

Ron said he scored no worse than an 11.

As jet planes landed nearly overhead, all the prisoners cheered.

Was Ron's score REALLY an indicator that Trump International had fallen off of the Golf Digest Top 100 list???

In Ron's defense, I've played with him and he is NOT capable of scoring a 30.

In Don's defense, Trump International is NOT the second-best course in all of Florida.

First Rosie and now Ron Whitten?   Trump will take on anybody.

Did he call Whitten a slob or disgusting?

"Trump described a round he played at the West Palm Beach course with Jerry Tarde, the editor of Golf Digest; Ron Whitten, the magazine's architecture editor; and Gary Wiren, a noted golf instructor. "On my 18th hole Whitten made a 30 — a 30!" Trump said."

"Whitten, a former prosecutor, answered all my questions. He said he did not make a 30 on the par-4 home hole that day with Trump.he said it was no more than an 11."

Now for the architecture part of this thread.....

"Are these not the most beautiful cart paths you have ever seen in your life?" Trump asked Mike and me. "Look at this curbing. You won't see curbing like this anywhere else."

The ratio of 11; 30 is easily the ratio of hyperbole one can discount if taking Donald at his word.
