Jay,
Of all his designs, why Pradera? Just curious.

I believe you menteiond you've played RM and LC right??  What other of his courses have you played?

The more I think about LC and let it soak in the more I like it.  The homeward stretch of 15-18 is tough yet fun as well. 4-6 is no slouch either....

Engh...lessee...pradera, blackstone, sanctuary, lakota, hawktree, redlands, fossil, red hawk ridge.

The best holes at pradera are 10, 18 and 17...great angles, straegy, concepts and design.

Jay,
Interesting. I like Pradera, but not as well as Redlands and Lakota to be honest. They've all got a lot of cool holes.

And I think I'd still put Tullymore at the top of the list actually.

No bad ones (or even ones I'd say were just "ok") on that list though.

No you really get a great interesting and pretty course at a totally affordable price.  There's no down side unless you're a militant minimalist/purist.

Why do you like Lakota and Redlands more than Pradera.

I'll see Harmony Club and Creek Club this year.

I thought the best holes at Lakota and Redlands were better than the best ones at Pradera. Pradera has some cool ones, #2, #5, #7, #10, but I think I could name more than that at Lakota and Redlands that I REALLY thought were interesting.

One thing I did like is that it seemed like there was more variety at Pradera than some of the others. Greens like #10 and 13 were different in that they repel shots instead of gathering them. #7 was fun, although I can't see anyone in the right mind wanting to test the right fairway in any kind of wind.

I don't think #18 at Pradera matches the finishers at Tullymore or Lakota, although its not bad by any means. Its also a bit more of a housing course than the others, even if Redlands and Lakota are building.

I'm being picky...like I said, I haven't found one yet that I don't like.

I too liked Lakota and Redlands better than Pradera. I also liked Sanctuary and Blackrock better.

Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Chiming in here- I've played Pradera, Lakota Canyon and Blackstone and will probably play Creek this summer or fall. I would choose Lakota Canyon for the better holes but would choose Pradera as a course to play everyday. I liked all three very much.
