The Latest Word....
« on: June 01, 2007, 10:01:11 AM »
...from my Magic 8 Ball is that with his current swing Tiger will never again win another major.  Of course, my Magic 8 ball has known to be wrong, but after watching Tiger this past two weeks, the 8 Ball feels it's mojo is rising.

Which brings me to my main thought, and one I'd like you to comment on. Question: What's with Butch Harmon as a teacher?"

There was the Shark - Sliding foot and all. Harmon made Norman a champion at the British. His reward, dumped. Then along comes Tiger. Butch revamps his swing, and voila, huge successes.  Butch gets dumped in favor of Haney.

Ego? Money - as in percentages of a win? Difficult to work with? What is it? To my thinking, Harmon has no peer as to eyeing a swing and correcting it. Let's see what Lefty thinks. And your thoughts....

See my post after Phil's latest victory.  Harmon needs to learn to stay in the shadows.

Throw that thing away, it's useless.  ::)

Methinks your magic 8-ball is either drinking 8-balls or downing snowballs ;).
You'd make a fine little helper. What's your name?

John,

Sorry, I wasn't around when you made your post. However, I'm glad I'm not the only one that this has occurred too.

Got some chuckles from the other posts.

Tom
Phil hooking up with Butch is the best thing to happen to the Tour in a long time...I agree with your Tiger assessment as far as his swing looks...and where the ball is going. He, of course, will win again (lots) and win majors. But I think Phil, with Butch, is going to make this very interesting for the next few years. I am going on record as saying Phil will win more, and more majors, than Tiger in the next 3-4 years. Butch is that good. Better, IMO, than Hank Haney.

The drama and irony will be thick.
