That style of bunkering at Oakmont has always struck me as over-the-top and unattractive. Nothing wrong with building a brutally tough, penal course if that's what the membership desires but it has little in common with any golf course I'd care to play.

I already know my golf game sucks and can prove it adequately on courses bunkered more like this



while actually enjoying the experience.
