Dude, you gotta get a DVR. Mine started recording at 2.00pm and I got back from my mother's house a little after 6.00 to watch the Players. Saw the whole thing in about two hours including a couple of breaks to eat supper and so forth.

Dude, I have 3 DVRs, including an HD TiVo.  What I lack is the ability to watch programs on any of these DVRs on Mother's Day.  Not because of my mother, but because of my wife, who is also a mother.

I watch the four majors on private tape-delay, after my wife goes to bed.  That makes my 5:45a alarm on Monday morning even worse than usual.

But there is no chance of watching any golf at any time on Mothers Day.  No chance.

I'm w/ Martin. W/ the time constraints of life I have no chance to watch golf live. The ONLY golf I watch these days are Sundays (maybee Sat if it's a great venue) of the Majors and it's via the TiVo w/ ff option.

Dudes!!!

You just need to negotiate a better "contract", that's all...  ;) ;D :o 8)

I watched PLENTY of golf yesterday as I prepared a BBQ rib feast for the lady of the house.

Evan,

This weekend consisted of

- Soccer coaches clinic
- Softball game
- Lacrosse game
- Soccer goalie clinic
- a full garage clean
- an actuall 9 hole round of golf late on Sat, first one here in NY!
- church
- soccer practice
- clean the mini-van for mom
- Mom's day dinner out w/ familly

Watching TV was sooo far off the radar screen.

Don't tell me that Clevland doesn't have just as many wonderful diversions for your girls!!

This schedule is, I believe, representative of why there will be a dramatic reduction in golf courses over the coming years. This isn't a criticism, by the way, just an observation that recurs.

Sorry for the threadjack....

There's another solution (sorry if I missed it earlier on this thread): Stick with a crappy old non-HD television, like mine. You'll never notice the difference between cameras.

By the way, O'Hair is just as slow in SD as he is in HD.

NBC's hand-helds are are wireless, which means, because of the delay involved in digital TV, they have to be analog. That means standard definition rather than high definition.

Earlier this year I was watching a Fox Nascar race and they made a big deal about how their in-car cameras are now HD unless I was totally mistaken. Is wireless HD impossible?
Wireless HD is possible, as we saw from the blimp. And there is a prototype wireless HD that doesn't take longer to process. A couple of sideline cameras at the Super Bowl were said to be those. But NBC clearly (or fuzzily) doesn't have them yet.
The Fox HD cameras in stock cars are probably the first-generation HD cameras, but because the perspective from outside to inside is so different, the time lag isn't evident. A good director can hide it unless a car is sideways, then isn't (or vice versa).
And Sean O'Hair is the new Bill Britton. Frank Chirkinian hung him out to dry once at a Western Open, mid-1980s. If I remember correctly, Britton got on the 13th tee at Butler National and Chirkinian ran a crawl of every Western Open winner. It finished and Britton still hadn't pulled the trigger on the par 3.

Thank goodness, not yet!

My 8-year-old does play soccer (ending soon) and softball (starting soon), and both she and her 5-year-old sister take dance class...but that is all we "allow" the girls to get involved in.  We have decided that a few select extra-curricular activites is about all WE can take.

I've got a fairly long "honey do" list as well, but we are simply knocking them out on a more leisurely pace...for now.
