A friend and I are currently on vacation in the Highlands and played Golspie today. Were it not for some construction equipment building a seawall along one of the fairways fronting the ocean - either the 3rd, 4th or 5th - you'd never know that that the course was hit last December by what golf shop manager Jeanette Cumming called a "tsunami." The entire course was in excellent condition, the greens rolled very true and the rebuilt 7th tee looked to us first-timers like it had been there since the course opened. A very fun course to play that we really enjoyed, especially the par-3s, with just a dash of quirk thrown in at #5 and very testing finishing holes on both sides (#9 - Perfection [420Y] and #18 - Drum Brae [435Y]).
