What % of the Golden Age courses were golden?

Thinking of Bob, Rihc, Bill, George, Neil, Dr. Childs, & Tiger.

Breaking that question down by architect would make an interesting exercise as well, given a consensus definition of "golden."

That's a great question. I do wonder how many were built as Championship courses vs. Sporty. During the 20's, I get the feeling the "names" didn't really want to bother with little courses.
"You need to start with the hickories as I truly believe it is hard to get inside the mind of the great architects from days gone by if one doesn't have any sense of how the equipment played way back when!"
