"As far as architects, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye and the Jones family -- Robert Trent Jones Sr., Rees, and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. -- have all done outstanding work as have player-architects Jack and Arnold.  They do volume, which is not to say that they have done shoddy work, because they bring golfers a fine product.  Of the player-architects coming up now, Greg Norman is starting to do good work, and Tom Weiskopf is maybe one of the most serious guys about the business.

Dan, you are correct.  The author of the quote is Ben Crenshaw.
