I saw Bulah (sp) this morning at The Waffle House.

She sends her most sincere, heart-felt wishes for a happy birthday. She said you told her that you were turning 32. I said nothing, paid for my waffle and headed back to my office.

Tommy,

I can't believe no one else is secure enough to do this for you on your  birthday:

 :-* :-* :-* :-*

 ;D

May your cake be of a natural form
May your drainage be adequate but not excessive
May your shaping flask be refilled promptly

Tommy,

Thanks for showing me the error of my ways and making me an offer I couldn't refuse leading to my hurried return to GCA.

Happy Birthday, buddy.  ;D

Thanks once again to all!

More importantly, today I've been working on the King's Putter Cup stuff and I want to thank two people in this, one Jeff Brauer for brokering some peace for some of my past indiscretions and to our architect/host, Damian Pascuzzo. All it took was a really hard thrown catch basin to the side of the head!

The details aren't finalized yet but plan for aiming the G5 for Santa Barbara sometime in May. We are calling this one the "Sideways" Tour as the Central coast has some delectable vineyards and unbelievably delicious Santa Maria-raised beef all popularized by the movie, Sideways.

We'll be high-lighting two courses--Damian's much ballyhooed Monarch Dunes and his ultra-strong/best design I've played of his to date, La Purisima. (How this course doesn't gain more recognition for what it is is beyond me, and the closing holes as tough as any as you''ll find in California.)

I want to apologize to Greg Tallman here and right now because we were going to try for Cabo, but after some discussion with a "team" of crack KP veterans, the popular opinion was to keep it in California, and mostly because of the issues as far as passport and costs. We want to keep it as affordable as possible and a trip down to Baja--which someday we would all like to make, would be more feasible. Still we hope the invitation will always be there. Thanks Greg!

And here I thought Baja WAS part of California?

No apology necessary, invitation is open ended and I promise to do what I can to keep it affordable.

Happy birthday and enjoy the event.

Hey, if the "growth" of NAFTA continues even further we might as well consider China, California also!

(This coming from an electrician whose job was ended just recently because the company is moving it's plant to Baja!) :) ;) ;D 8) :'( :P

Still waiting on a sensical quantification of the benfits of NAFTA.

Then again I will also look forward to the study on the change to daylight savings time that, at a cost of millions and millions of dollars, will begin... "Beyond being good for the golf industry, screwing up flight schedules and gringos showing up early for tee times in Mexico for three weeks..."

FYI we did not change along with the US this year... we are on PST until April 1 when we will change.

Just means I have to cut out an hour earlier to catch march madness!

I didn't. But that will be rectified this weekend and next Monday! I haven't played in over a month and a half.

Greg,
Didn't know that about Me-He-Co, and one would think with Bush in power down there..... (just kidding!) ;)

Tommy,
I used to live on the central coast and wonder if you have considered Sandpiper, I think La Purisima and Sandpiper are owned by the same company. Also Marshalia Ranch at Vandenburg AFB takes outside tourneys and is close to LP and a very good golf course.
I love golf, the fightin irish, and beautiful women depending on the season and availability.

Ah, Tommy...you're clearly mellowing with age.   I still fondly recall your Damian (666) days.   ;D

What's next...Kings Putter East with Rees at Tattersall and LedgeRock?   :o :o :o ;)

all the good lookers were born about know in 1959,  It is Fabio's 48th birthday today.  Perhaps you two were 'twins' - Fabio sounds Italian as well!

Happy Birthday.

James, they already did that movie, "Twins" with Danny DiVito and Arnold...  Maybe a sequel is in order... Tommy and Fabio together in the next blockbuster 'buddie cop movie', "Twins La Habra Beat".   Tommy, whatever you do, don't get into that gondola in Venice and let Fabio 'pole' you under 'the bridge of sighs'.  Passage under the bridge apparently ages you another 48 years, instantly!  :o

ps - I would like to alert all interested parties to reply #33 on this thread - preliminary plans for TKP, which look great.  One and all can now officially stop asking me about this - you now can see with your own eyes that Tommy is the planner/organizer.  ;D
