I'm sure you all talked before about it before ,but I'm new and I'd like opinions on how protected  zones in our modern age(they are a great thing IMHO)have affected modern  gca and the old masters.I'm somewhat aware of the Audubon Society ,but am curious as to the constraints limiting our modern  gcas?Did the old masters have to deal with these comprimises and if so please post pics if you can to support your  ideas(I can't travel much).Kind of a take off of the trees, routing old vs. new threads.I'd guess modern gcas have a harder time of it,and I've heard of courses begun construction 10-12 years after concept.Thoughts?.....Greg
