Ross' Sedgefield CC reopens after Kris Spence's restoration
« on: September 26, 2007, 03:44:19 PM »
An article on it in the Greensboro paper, mentioning desire of
PGA tour to move there from Forest Oaks (re-done a few
years ago by Davis Love's firm), linked here.

You can go to the club's website to see pics of the course during the project.  The most recent were about a month and a half ago.

Great routing with the best use possible of the rolling terrain.  You will use every club and try shots that you would not get to try at many other courses.  Look to see this course rise in the rankings not only in the state, but also in the country.  One of the overall best sets of greens I have ever seen.  If the tournament moves there the players and fans should really enjoy the challenge the course poses, hopefully reviving one of the oldest and most storied pro tournaments.  The history of the club is pretty unique and obviously very much intwined with the tournament.
