Hi Pat and all,
2/3rds has past and I had a great CT scan and follow up today with such good news as golf, fishing and lots of other great things being back on my to-do list.  As well as being able to go back to work the first week of April if all stays on this track.  Thanks so much to all and Let's Golf!  ;)
Cheers,
Steve

Steve,
2/3rds through puts you on the thirteenth tee, if I'm not mistaken. I instantly visualise the 13th at CPC. Truly a gem amongst gems of a hole. Brilliant strategic design. Fabulous view and landscape quality. The most exquisite greensite bunkering of the entire course. An incredible rollercoaster ride of a green. (I was on in two and promptly four-putted!!!!)
Five holes still to go, but boy are they worthwhile.
Keep on keepin' on.

Best,
FBD.

FBD,

Have not been to CPC but will have to settle for second with my image of the 13th at Pine Valley.  ;)

Other times I can barely see.
Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been."

Has been ringing in what is left.  ;)

Hey Tommy,

I hear you were raising a toast in my honor in Anaheim, did that glass seem a little shy?  ;)

Tony,

You just have big half empty head syndrome, it'll pass.  ;)

Steve-Glad to hear that things are going well. While we've never met, I feel I know you from your posts, photographs and buying tickets for the Alumni Turf Group raffle. Get well soon so you can sell me some more losing tickets.

Feck Pete, For Tony's sake... ;)

Another version of my Rockwellian self portrait for Tony's sake

I have done 18 of 33 treatments and still feeling well enough to crank on Tony.  ;D

Cheers,
Steve

Steve:
The gang at Charles River is glad to hear you are doing well.  Hang in there.  Like a bad round of golf that seems to go on forever, the treatments will end and just be a distant memory.
Keep on fighting
Best

Dave and everyone,
Thanks so much!  Today was my last trip to the "Spa" as I have been referring to it.  Why bother with a facial, pedicure or massage when you get right to the core with a brain massage.  ;)

and I can still post and include uploaded pictures.  I followed my last treatment today with a good walk around my half snow bound course and am glad that everything looks good so far and that it will be on hold at least until I get back on the second of next month.

Steverino:

I don't know what in the hell that net looking thing is they put over your head but I hope they gave it to you so you can wear it next Halloween.  ;)

Congratulations for coming through the ordeal in good order and seemingly in good humor.

Are you gonna stick with the shaved look? What do you think? I think it looks pretty cool, Kojak Curry.

Steve,

I remember that day well, it was INDEPENDENCE DAY.

I'm happy that you're done with these treatments, that this is all behind you.  In time, this experience will be nothing more than a distant memory.

You were luckier than I was, you got to keep your clothes on.
I froze in those rooms.

Now, it's time to get back to GCA.com and put that cretin from Philadelphia in his place, mucking the stalls at Happydale Farms.

This is a thread on Steve Curry but we should also take particular note, again, of what our Patrick Mucci has done in this incredibly difficult vein. Not just done for himself but also how he has gone way down the road of helping others with it and through it. I sure do know I've never remotely gone through anything in my life that must test one's meddle like this!

TEPaul,

Thanks

GCA.com and its participants were a terrific help to me.

It kept me active and involved with something near and dear to me, golf course architecture.

When you can't sleep from midnight until 8:00 am, you can only watch the weather channel, every 8 minutes, for so long, but, tuning in and participating on GCA.com was a wonderful medicine.

I feel an obligation to help those about to embark upon their journey into the unknown.

And, you'd be surprised at what you can deal with and overcome with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.

I'm glad Steve is done with his treatments, I know how happy he and his family are.   Now, they can get back to normal and on with their lives.

Steve

All the best to you and your family who must also be relieved that you are finished with your treatments. Hang in there and enjoy the new golf season and your course and members.

PS- keep the shaved head.  It looks great.  ;)

Steve,

It's been the book that's helped you the most through all these trying times, hasn't it. Go ahead. Admit it. It has powers beyond what the average golf reader can imagine!

Best wishes to you, Steve.  If a golf trip to Philadelphia wouldn't be too much for you, please consider it sometime this year.  I'm sure the Philadelphia GCA.com contingent would be glad to arrange the Grand Tour.  I hope you will accept an invitation to play with me at your convenience when you feel up to it.
Regards,
Wayne

Steve,

I'm here for you buddy. If trashing me on a website famous throughout the galaxy helps your booboo then that's fine with me, just take me on the Philly trip and we'll call it even.

Hob Nob will post-blizzard.
