I stumbed across a course in Massachusetts that ends with two fives: 493, 467. Anybody know of any other examples?

Thanks for the help.

Anthony

La Marache, one of Royal Waterloo courses, ends with 3 five. (At least it was the case the last time I played there 15 or so years ago)
For a short while the European tour stopped there.

Southview Country Club in West St. Paul (where the son of a regular poster here is a member) ends with back-to-back par 5s.

I played Sara Bay Country Club in Sarasota, FL Sunday, which ends with 2 par 5's. If you get the chance to play it, it is a great Ross course with lots of incredible history.

Brian Silva restored the course in 1991, so without research I don't know if it was originally designed that way, but my guess is it was.  Evidently there are many pictures in the men's locker room that I unfortunately couldn't get in to see. :-\

Glencoe Golf Club in Glencoe Ill ends 5, 5.  Its the town muni not fat geographically from Skokie but a long way architecturally.  Still it has 8 or 9 pretty good holes.

Someone earlier in this thread mentioned The Dunes @ Seville.  While true, originally the nines were reversed which means that if they were ever re-reversed, 8,9 and 10(now 1) would be back to back to back par fives.

Also from my Art Hills days, The Golf Club @ Cypress Head.

Mike -

Interesting about The Dunes at Seville...  Out of curiosity, do you prefer the routing today - or did you prefer the original routing, with the three consecutive par 5's mid-round?

I've never played it with the nines reversed, but my impressions were that today's #1 is a marvelous starting hole and gives a great introduction to the character of the golf course - and that #'s 17 and 18 make a really fun finish.  Not sure if I would feel the same way if those holes were in the middle of the round.
