I am hearing about more places that arre using hickory. What other ones out there do similar things. I have some hickories in my closet that I am going to take out.

Mid Pines has an annual event for hickories. Click here for the 2006 results and 2007 dates. Mid Pines would be a great place to play with your hickories!

I you go to:
http://www.hickorygolf.com/
and go down through the events pages, you will find all the events and tournaments for 2007 that are currently scheduled. This next weekend is a golf collectors show in Dayton and along with much club dealing there will be more finalization on the balance of the events.
If you are interested in some clubs and can get by the show it is a great event. Friday is a good day and Saturday does really start winding down around noon for people to get a head start home.

Slightly OT, but following Tommy's link, it seems that Overseas membership is available at RND for 150 quid/year and no joining fee. For those of you interested in a UK membership, this is very hard to beat. Great course and great club.
