4 Nicklaus Courses
« on: December 13, 2006, 08:02:11 PM »
Kinloch is a new course to be opened in New Zealand in March 2007.  They are having a lucky draw for people who buy a plot of land associated with the development.  The prize is you get to play on any 4 Nicklaus courses anywhere in the world.  If you you were lucky enough to win what would be your choice?

What does it matter if the poor player can putt all the way from tee to green, provided that he has to zigzag so frequently that he takes six or seven putts to reach it?     --Alistair Mackenzie--

It's interesting to me how many people put Dismal River on their list.  I was fortunate enough to play it along with its next door neighbor, but I wonder how many people would make the trip to Mullen just to play DR.  It is very special and I really liked it but getting there is a real pain.  It will deservedly establish a quality reputation and membership but to travel there just to play it for a day would require a real devotion to JN courses.

Mayacama
Dismal River
The Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol
May River

Many collaborations would be considered but these four are purely Jack and his own team and not surprisingly realtively recent. CDS the oldest dating back to 93-94.
