I like a finishing hole with great risk reward to it. Par 5's lend themselves to that easier than strong 4's. However that funny little par 4 finisher at TOC has some wonderful risk reward aspects to it.

Gary,
18 at Harbortown easy?
Have you played it?

Perhaps with the right (or no) wind the pros can make some birdies on 18 but only because "these guys are good"
Sorry I thought the drive was wide open and the second nothing difficult compared to the previous 17 holes. Loved the course and its challenges.

One of the bright spots of our local muni, the venerable and elite Warminster's Five Ponds Golf Club is the simplicity of the final hole.

Not only is it a drive and pitch par 4, it's also the number 18 handicap hole.

While simple and straightforward, it's elegance is unmatched on the rest of the course and provides a pleasant finish to the round.

In fact, I'd much prefer a simple and even easy par to finish the round then a well-earned par on a sadly overdone or overly difficult finisher.
