Michael Dugger,
Would you include the adjacent industrial complex, buildings, condos, enourmous water tower and houses part of the Majestic setting ?
You see them from one point on the course, the 8th tee.
Pretty low impact in my book
Michael,
Then you need to get a new book.
How quickly you forget.
What's directly behind the 2nd tee ?
The 4th green.
Left of the 5th hole.
Along the 8th and 9th hole ?
visible from the 10th and 11th hole.
And as to the monstrous water tower, from what hole can't you see it ?
Could SandPines be better, absolutely.
But, let's not paint a false picture and declare the surroundings as majestic.
The tall pines are certainly majestic and the holes that weave through them are good.
The Oblique dunes north of the property are unstable and couldn't be incorporated into the design.
Pictures of # 7 which were posted on here show a nice look vis a vis evolution.
As to the mounds, they're excessive.
But, I can't tell you that that's not what the developer wanted
But, the course isn't as bad as some make it out to be.
There are some very good golf holes on that course.
