I played 78 rounds this year, up slightly because I ventured to Australia during our hideously cold winter here in Manitoba. I saw 17 new courses this year, hopefully a trend that will continue and rise in the years to come.

You walked more than a few people around your course without playing.  Thanks for helping out my brother and his rag tag crew.

You played a recreational round this year at Oakmont with me.  I kicked your ass--remember?  Not that you were trying and you also have two bad shoulders.  No excuse.  I crushed you and  that's with a double on 17 when I hit Mark's goofy iron since I brought driver with me to the tee and playing 18 in the dark where Mark made a miracle par.

I think I played about 60 rounds and assorted couple of holes here and there with my boys at my new club.  That's probably 40 more rounds than the previous year at my old club.  I hardly played away golf at all this year--Oakmont, The Creek and Shinnecock.  If you've got to travel, might as well go first class

I'm at 125 rounds and counting, not including a few days where I played a few holes before dark.  This is about standard.

I'm 54, and have a daughter in college, a 10th grade son, and the most understanding wife in the world.  We've known each other since we were 12, and she knows this is the way I'm wired.

You guys are insane.  I think I played 50-60, and I can't believe I got away with that many!  I'm married with a 3-yr old and another on the way.

17 of my rounds came from two trips that took place over the course of 9 days.  That thins out the other rounds quite a bit.

Can't complain; next year's total will be lower.

For 2005 I played a total of 3 rounds (2 of which were with GCAers!).  2006 introduced me to fatherhood and slashed that huge number to 1!

I played around 18-20 this year. More than any of the last 6 years!! I think I had 2 weeked rounds.

The annual fall golf trip was 140 holes in 4 days. 7 full rounds + 9 & 6 on the par 3 courses.

45 w/ 2 girls 9 & 7.

I had my best year in a long time.  75 rounds - a lot of them were played in some pretty nasty February, March and November weather in Michigan.  Last night's snowfall will probably keep me from getting in #76 for a while.  I'm married to a very understanding wife who warns that number will go down once we have kids.

All I can say is that some of you guys are just out of control!  I love golf but there are other things to do in this world...

40, single, no kids, played 30-35 rounds this year.  I think I may have exceeded 40 in the years I've visited Scotland or Ireland, but other than that 25-35 is about average for me.

About 130, 75 posted on home course for handi, but many more were 27 hole loops, and matches and such not posted.  

Not bad considering a golf season here in WI is rated at about 144 days considering rain-out days, weather, etc.  I'd say about 20-30 rounds a year elsewhere.

58, married to a wife that don't complain about my passion for playing yet she doesn't golf either, and retired (or at least can't find anything interesting I want to do) with a great set of golf buddies among whom someone is always around to go out and play.

Besides the initial month or so I have found I play more golf now my daughter is born as its easier to generate brownie points because there are 2 people to spoil!

Now I know one reason many of you have lower handicaps than me--you're playing all the time.

I played maybe 15-20 times last year, with about one-third of my rounds being played during one trip to Bandon.  Most of the rounds were scheduled at the last minute, no warm-up, just show up and play.

Man, I totally romped all over Brad - I played 3 rounds and 2 scrambles in 2006! I think he may have gotten me last year, however.

39 (and counting - I think I'm approaching the 100 day countdown), 1 child (who's definitely #1 in all the rankings! )
