My very understanding girlfriend is more interested than myself in this question but she wanted to know how many rounds other golf nuts like myself played this year.  I played 130 or so, live in Michigan, 27, work full time and no kids or wife.  I'm just curious what others have played and maybe you can throw in your location, age, marital status, so I can assure her I'm not the only one with the Golfing Disease.

I know Bob Barriger told me he played 360 last year so how about the rest of ya'?

I have played about 100 rounds this year.  Probably twenty-five days I played 36 holes.  I am 59 years old and walked all but ten rounds when a cart was mandatory.

I will have played somewhere in the neighborhood of 30-35 rounds this year.  I am 31, married (to a lovely woman that unfortunately views golf as my evil mistress), and I have a two-year old daughter.  I think most would agree that young children are like kryptonite to an active golf schedule.  I only played two rounds the year after we adopted our daughter.

I broke par maybe 6 or 7 times out of that, including my last round of the year!  Avg. score somewhere between 74 and 75.

I had 245 in 2004, when I only was working part time, and 94 in 2005.  These are seasonal totals mind you, with a couple off-season trips thrown in.

But 350....that's just another level....

I got in 60 rounds in Connecticut before June, then went to Colorado and played 7 more rounds.

I moved to the Boston area at the end of June. From then until now, I have played a whopping total of 10 rounds, one of which came a week ago in the bitter cold.

This year was by far my worst for golf. I live in an area of crappy, crowded public courses and super-expensive private courses. I am married with three kids under the age of 6. I will probably take up bowling or bingo in the near future and skip all the aggravation that golf brings.

 I live in Massachusetts. Married, no kids. Played 53 times this year, about 2/3 18 holes, 1/3 nine holes.   Season is just about finished.

   Did not make  a Winter trip south this year, but did play 8 times at Dornoch and other courses in that area in August.
Played on the Cape twice in January!!

        I think this is the most I've ever played in a given year, but I see I pale in comparison with some of you heavy hitters.

About 60 without counting.  One quarter on great links (thanks in part to a first Scottish holiday and the Buda Cup), and about 10 on Heathland tracks.  This is about the average number of rounds since I took the game up 5 years ago. However with with only 50% of my golf on courses that any GCA'er would be delighted to play, for the first time I found a certain ennui with my home course and some others I've played.

I think I played seven rounds this year.

No, allow me to amend that, I think it was six, and that included one alternate shot round. They were all tournament rounds---not a single recreational round. Oh, sorry, there was one practice round. Not a single round on my own course this year.

I played 59 new to me golf courses so far this year, and another 10-20 at the course I work at and at places I've already played so that's around 70-80 times this year, which is the lowest in five years.  I'm 26 and newly married this year and that did have an effect on my rounds of golf.  In 2004 and 2005 I played about 150 rounds.  I work full time at a golf course which can help or hurt your number of round depending on the job, this year it hurt the number of rounds because I was too busy to play most of the time.

22 rounds - 8 of them the scramble type for various charitable organizations.

I am 37, married with two kids (8 and 3).  Golf has been slowly tapering off in the past few years, sadly.
