Happy St Andrews Day

...and even more on topic than College Football too!!

Happy Saint Andy's day, you lot. (I'm trying to St Paddy-ise, St Andrew's Day to make it a bit more cool. The Scottish Executive have ALMOST agreed to giving us a half-day Public Holiday. Break out the Whisky... 8))

Best,
FBD.

FBD,

Perhaps you can get St Andrew to say a little prayer for the participants of the Merion 10 thread. That may help.  :D

Mike

Even though I don't do praying, I looked over at that Meriod 10 thread just in homage to you, and you owe me!

What a bunch of tripe!

Happy St. Andrews Day........

My second name is Antero. It is Antero´s day in Finland today. I must be a saint too, then!

Martin,
Happy St. Andrews Day! It's the day St. Andy drove the tourists out of Scotland. Unfortunately they came back again!

Rich, as a recent non-combatant participating in the Merion 10 thread, I am assuming that you consider Tripe, gloriously tasty and the prime example of brain food!  ;D

Phillip

Just as Haggis, Neeps and Tatties are associated with Burns Suppers, so are Tripe, Girn and Thrawn part and parcel of St. Andrew's Day.

Brains are not part of the equation.

Ally, you're right of course.  But for us non-Scots, well...
it is fun to honor the man, the name, however we think
of this.

My new son was not named accidentally. We shall celebrate.

Ally,
NEVER turn down the opportunity of a free holiday.

T,
he might look like a little Saint right now, but...

 ;D

I am ashamed to admit that as this is a weeknight, I will be toasting the Saint's memory only with Vin Rouge. Ah well, la vieille alliance indeed! (Pardonez mois, mon Francais...)

Tom,

My parents named me Andrew (middle name) after St Andrew since I was born on Nov 30, and then I named my son (Andrew Stewart Jones) after him who was suppose to be born on Nov 30 but came a litte early.

And St Andrew wasn't even Scottish - it was just that his relics were washed up on the shore at St Andrews when the ship carrying them (why?) was wrecked.  Not that I can complain - St George was at least as bogus, if not even more spurious.  Martin - I've just had a delicious glass of Rueda to quench the appetite and stimulate the thirst.  At leasht I think thatsh what I've done.....

And that includes you Martin and you too, Mark.
