....hey, is it just me, or are other former 'Gods' now just 'Sr. Members'?

....I'm more curious than hurt, cause I've spent most of my life being jerked through back doors...then out again ;).

Paul, I too am deeply crushed as I was nearing the day, in fact it was just three and a half hours of Tom Paul type postings away and I would have finally been able to proclaim to my wife that "I AM A GOD!"

How the mighty, and those craving to be, have fallen...  :'(

This is similar to the reaction we'll get if they ever pull back the distance of the golf ball.  Everything will be relatively the same, but everyone will feel somewhat slighted.

you beat me to it.  The other alternative is that we all just got put back a set of tees.  GCA posts are now measured from the Matt Ward 'tips' - it is a longer course!

It took me three and a half years to get to 1,150. By the time I get to 2,000 the new standard for a god will probably be raised to 4,000.

That's not the only subtle thing that has changed recently.  Instead of 25 threads per page, there are now 35 threads per page.  This change means it takes longer for threads to scroll off page 1.  It also reduced the total # of pages from 900+ to the current 650's.

Also, instead of 25 posts per page shown, now 35 posts per page are shown.

I like the changes.
