Sure all this stuff is subjective---very subjective, otherwise why would Wayne have felt inclined to piss on C.B's grave? ;) That's probably the real beauty of golf architecture as an artform---appreciation and opinion of it really is so subjective. What can I say but there really does need to be a "Big World" theory. There has to be something out there for all those people who have really bad taste just as there has to be something out there for the people who have great taste.  ;)

David:

Don't laugh---we have the photographs. The only real question is---does Gene Greco have the guts to post them on here? If he does I promise I'll personally keep Wayne and George Bahto apart for at least five years and if they happen to run into each other I promise to pull out all my mediating skills, which are considerable. I guess they'll need to be.

    In this case, we had to change to a macro lens. :)

I don't know about the lens because I know zippo about photography but in the middle of this ghastly act Wayno demonstrated how a one-armed man counts change.

This was a pretty weird weekend, David. That same day at Shinnecock Adam Jessie said he had to go back into the manitenance buiding to take a leak just before proceeding up to the clubhouse with wacko Wayno and me and Mark Michaud to have lunch with all the big muck-a-mucks from Shinnecock following their board meeting. So Adam comes out of the maintenance building and his pants are all wet around his fly. The guy actually tried to tell us he thought he bumped into a wet table or something.

Yeah right!!

Uncle George took me to the gravesites one unbelievably beautiful day. Amazing place that Southampton cemetary. Uncle George says that C.B. paid for Seth's burial, as well as had him over across from his plot. If that isn't evidence of the respect he had for Raynor.....

Nothing better then a grand tour by the greatest C.B. enthusiast of them all! (Uncle George)

That must have been some intimadating board to draw that kind of reaction! I've known to be nervous under times of stress, but jeeze! ;D Makes me wonder what an interview meeting w/ them would cause. ;)

David:

Nah, they're not intimidating. They're a great group of guys and super hospitable. Adam probably did bump into a wet table in the maintenance building. ;)

Furthermore, here are the two primary reasons why Wayno hates Macdonald and his architecture;

1. Wayne, although a virile and manly person, is something of an aesthete and has a natural instinct to be kind and gracious to women and he feels Macdonald was a gross chauvinistic pig and ultimately ultra denegrating towards women.

2. Wayne thinks Macdonald's architecture looks like a spoilt precocious child's first attempt with his elaborate Erector set.
