Aerial Tour Link to the Links at Crowbush

The internet is a great thing:

You've got to check this out:

http://www.worldwidegolfguide.com/hgg_home/crowbush/pages/hole1.html

Click on holes 1-18 for a heli-tour.  Too Cool!

BTW, the 11th still stinks as a hole but it's got the best view on the golf course from the tee, if you look behind you!!!

Jason,

Wow, that may be the course tour that I've ever seen.  Thanks for the link.

I like the look of the 10th with the huge fairway split with the centerline bunker complex and then a bunkerless green.  The par 3 17th hole also looks quite cool.

For those who've played the course, what were your favorite standout holes?

The 17th was mine but I'm a sucker for quirk.

I also got really jazzed over the 3 par 8th.

I played there 6 rounds in 4 days and enjoyed most of the course, the 11th , 16th and 17th were not our favourite holes (11th is almost impossible for a woman to play, no options; the 16th was impossible for anyone to drive the fairway on one of the days, no options); and the 17th is quirky to some people, fun the first couple of times.  The course needs one more good winter storm to mature.  No particular hole stood out.  We enjoyed Dundarave a little bit more.  Hdcps 1(old pro) and 10 (wife)

Gene:

We had a stiff wind too and 16 fairway was very hard to reach 2 of the 3 days

I was at Crowbush a few weeks ago. Holes 6, 7, 8 are all really fun - a bit of an Amen Corner thing going on there.

Yes, 11 is a bad hole. The view from the tee's amazing but the drive is pointless - it doesn't matter where you hit it or even how far, because the forced layup makes it all moot. And the mistake is compounded by the tiny green fronted by a bunker - very hard to hit with a long club.

Actually, three of the four 5s employ the do-or-die carry short of the green, although the others are better placed. The third hole, for instance, has a nice winding Thompson-esque feel with a couple of thought-provoking bunkers 70-90 yards short of the green.

Dundarave is probably a better layout on a nice property, but Crowbush is a pretty magical place. It's also much more walkable.

I have never had a problem with Quicktime but I can't get this to play.  Anyone else having a problem?
