I've never played it, but from what I hear of Dunaverty, it will be vaut le detour.  If we do Dornoch, Brora or Golspie or Skibo or Struie would be the relief course.  Nairn is just three bridges too far.......
I have played Dunaverty albeit years ago (my wife's brother in law is from Cambeltown.  It's fun but short. At the time I wasn't interested enough or knowledgeable enough about GCA to pass an opinion on its merit.  I do recall playing the first 10 holes in level par, which for the 17 handicapper I was then felt like a real achievement.  I then dropped 17 shots over the remaining holes to play to handicap.  C'est la vie.
In June I will be riding the first three stages of this year's Tour de France route for charity.  630km (394 miles) in three days, with 7800m (25,600 feet) of climbing for the William Wates Memorial Trust (https://rideleloop.org/the-charity/) which supports underprivileged young people.
