yeah archie... murvagh is donegal golf club and is on a peninsula of land just west of donegal town... it is very long and very tough by all accounts (i haven't played it)... i have never seen a less than exceelent review... it's a long journey from RCD / portrush area though... if you were to travel that far, you'd also be opening up enniscrone, rosses point (county sligo) and ballyliffin...

I love Murvagh. It is very long and the rough is brutal. There are no huge dunes, like those that feature on some Irish links, but there is a lot of contour.

You can see pictures here - http://www.donegalgolfclub.ie/html/pictures_of_donegal_golf_cours.html

If you were near here, you could also have a look at St. Patrick's - the one JN is doing up. It's a long way from Royal County Down, though.

And you can find lots of info on all the affiliated North and West Coast Links at www.northandwestcoastlinks.com
