When does it get dark at Bandon

I am planning a trip their next September.  Do any of you know when it gets dark?  The Weather Channel says sundown at 7:30 in early Sept. but I would have thought you could play later than that.

I got 54 holes in there one day in the first week of September last year. I believe I started at 7 am and finished about 7:30, with not much light to spare on either end.

You can, assuming a cloudless, fogless day, the 7:30 time is when the sun sets behind the horizon (the Pacific Ocean in this case) which should still allow you enough daylight to play a few holes.

Mike is right on. If there is any kind of coastal eddy (marine layer), it can make a huge difference. I'm in San Diego and as I'm writing this at 6:20 local time, there is no marine layer and there's about a half hour left of sunlight. If there was a marine layer, it would be pretty dark right now. It all depends.

Right now in Bandon, at 7:15 local time, there is a cloud cover, with enough clearing at the horizon to see the sun near to setting.  There is just enough light to play right now but not for long.....I would think with these conditions one could play, and just barely, until 7:45 this evening.

I'm very glad the USGA has its new pace of play policy so that we have a chance to finish the stroke play rounds of the Mid-AM at Bandon next year on September 29 and 30.

No later than a 2:30pm tee time and you'll be fine for completing your round in day light.  

The view is great on the 17th tee at the Trails course around 7:15pm, one of the best at sunset on a golf course.
