K Club
« on: September 20, 2006, 06:07:06 PM »
I have been hearing a lot that the K Club is a somewhat poor site for the Ryder Cup.

Having never played the course, I was wondering if this general opinion is stated because the K Club is a bad course, or simply because there are courses better suited to hold a Ryder Cup..?

For those who have played the course any comments on how good/bad it is?

Would the K Club be a good course if it were situated in, say, North Carolina?

Thanks

Look at it this way. The equivalent would be like having the Ryder Cup at Sandpines rather than have it at Bandon.

Sean,

Is the K Club as good/bad a course as Sandpines?

Jordan -

Tommy Naccarato started a thread ("Klein's K Klub Kabbash for the Ryder Cup") on this topic on 9/17. If you scroll back a page or two, you should be able to find it. I think the subject may have already been talked out.

Last I heard, they have had 2 days of very heavy rain in the Dublin area. There has already been some talk that they may not be able to finish the matches until Monday.
