East of the Mississippi

You can choose five courses to play (doesn't matter if you have played them or not) to the right of the big river.  Only one per state.  Which five do you choose?  I think mine would be:

White Bear Yacht Club
Yale
Myopia Hunt Club
Crystal Downs
Pine Valley

Too many choices, narrow it down ;D
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta

Jason --

You're wanted in Remedial Geography!

Dan

PS: Sean, it's east of the Mississippi.

PPS: How weird is it that, immediately after posting this, I went to the New York Times' site, and the first story I saw was: "Time to move the Mississippi?"

White Bear YC is almost due NORTH of the Mississippi River as the river winds its way through St. Paul; White Bear Lake is considered a suburb of St. Paul, not Minneapolis, and those from Minnesota will know it matters.

Sean -- hard choices; I narrowed it to 10 courses.

1) Augusta National
2) Merion East
3) A toss-up between Fishers Island and NGLA; either would do!
4) A toss-up between Chicago and Shoreacres; either would do!
5) A toss-up among TCC/Essex/Myopia/Eastward Ho!; any would do!

Yeah, and it's WAY north of the Mississippi as it comes into New Orleans.

Be that as it may:

Go due west from WBYC, and you will cross the river presently.

Go due east from WBYC, and you will circumnavigate the globe before you reach the Mississippi.

So, as you can plainly see: It's both east and west of the Mississippi.

Not to mention north.

And south.
