Playing Coldstream today
« on: September 01, 2006, 10:32:06 AM »
It's a bit soggy and cool here in Cincinnati but we're giving it a go.

I'll have photos and a (decidely amatuer) report sometime next week..

(Haven't picked up a club since I lost to an ace on the 19th hole in my match play club championship three weeks ago.)

Have fun.

I've always thought after a bit of a lay-off that going out on a day like today reminds me how much I love playing golf.

John - are you from Cincy? Have you played Coldstream before?

I'm from Cincy. I used to play at Terrace Park but now play at Ivy Hills.

I haven't played Coldstream since the Ohio Am some 10 years ago. The course used to be kept very soft, but that week it was really firm and fast.

Steve,

Yep -- I live in Anderson, a medium length par 5 from El Coyote.

I've never played CS before but I drive past it all the time so I'm looking forward to it.

I **LOVE** Terrace Park.  A neighbor of mine is a member there (you might know here -- Sandy Jones, one hell of an old lady golfer.  I think she won the Ohio Amatuer twice and a number of Terrace Park championships).  I clean out her gutters and she takes me out for golf.

I've played Ivy Hills a few times and those greens drive me nuts.

It seems like there are a fair number of us from the Cincinnati area.  We should all get together and play.  Who can get a tee time at Camargo?  :-)
