A little known fact: the New Course was designed by the obscure B Hall Blyth, an Edinburgh civil engineer.

Hey, Tom, that's not little known as it is in the St. Andrews Links history book!

OTM and Honeyman supervised everything, and did all the changes a few years later, after the course was felt to be too difficult.
