OH boy, I'm sure overmyhead on this subject. But, it has got to be the next step for GCA.com, it seems to me.
Who among the treehouse is working in or on You-Tube? I remember one guy (I think it was Jason Topp) posting Evan Fleisher's amazing swing at Stone Eagle.
The obvious benefits of being able to illustrate various visual images on golf courses, to share examples of what one is trying to describe about a course, is greatly enhanced by the application of movie movement. One can pan, zoom, and track the corridors of architecture with a video clip.
I would think that big architectural firms would use this video sharing and viewing technology in their work both to market themselves and to use as an illustration tool. That would be particularly helpful in proposals to remodel or restore various golf course architectural features. It seems to me that it is a way to get a leg up on the competition. As it is, some of the architects aren't even up on digital photos and websites. Some enterprising and creative archie is going to use this newest tech in a big way, it seems to me.
So, which one of you techie inclined GCA.com posters is going to start posting links to video works of golf architecture and art?
