Rick,

The Norman moisture-wicking collection is a definite plus.

I'm with J Slonis.

I wear J Lindeberg almost exclusively.

Finest Moisture Wicking fabrics in Golf.

Blows away anything from Adidas, Greg Norman etc. in Moisture Wicking fabrics. Playing golf here in Chicago the last couple of weeks with temps in the high 90's plus high humidity I have been relatively cool and dry.

J Lindeberg is a very Euro Fit so you need to go up one size.

They make phenomenal shorts as well.

Galvin Green also makes some great shirts.

My 2 cents!

I think my # is around 40. I've done some purging lately.

I like the bright colors and the hi tech fabric's. The only problem is my daughters know that orange is my favorite color and lets just say, I've never got to but a shirt in that color again.

One other thing w/ the hi-tech / moisture wicking material, go for them in the socks too. makes a big difference.

High 90's with high humidity and "relatively" cool and dry?

Guess it all depends on your definition of "relative." As in being on the 5th rung of Dante's Inferno, and not the 9th. Either way, it's still hell at those temps.

This will be ugly when I post the count. I threw out over 100 when the weight change occurred.

I have three different wife beaters that I keep in rotation,...no logos, all white, actually one is kinda sweaty white...I guess that explains why I don't get alot of access.

Tiger:  you are my new hero...if my wife ever says that I have too many I can always reference you

and I like the word "rotation"...there's a Seinfeld when Jerry goes out with a woman  who keeps wearing the same dress, and Jerry and George discuss how it might "keep moving up in the rotation" ;D

and I do try and rotate mine!
199 played, only Augusta National left to play!

about 20 or so.

some are team shirts, some are course shirts and some are charity day shirts.

I do not own a shirt with an equipment manufacturer's logo on it strangely though.

Two closets, I have no idea of the number of shirts, but probably about twenty in rotation.  Today's golf shirts are like today's golf balls; they're made so well that they never seem to wear out.  You only get rid of them because you're tired of looking at them.  My favorite place to get rid of shirts not in rotation is the caddie shack.  There are plenty of slightly chubby kids who can take my overage.  As for the J. Lindeberg, I've seen several preeners on the club circuit who try to look like Carmen Villegas in those fancy duds.  They usually look slightly gay (nuffin wrong with that!) and a little overstuffed, sort of like that fashion disaster in the US Open Kenneth Ferrie.

Last comment: you have to love the diversity of commentary on this site.  This morning I went from green seeding techniques (knobby tires and the like) to best 9-hole courses to golf shirts.  Only in America.  And only on gca.com

Ralph Lauren is my favorite.

I have soooo many colors

Pink
Pink Stripes
Bright Orange
Lime Green
Yellow
White (wow)
Red and blue and yellow stripes
neon multi-colored stripes

stuff like that...its nice!

Jordan

do you have one of these?  I just had to buy it (I was in Las Vegas at the time, so it made sense).  The shirt is definitely  8) 8) 8) and a bit of  :P.  I am looking forward to wearing it once (and probably only once), with a conservative guy I play with.  I did wear it at a beach party on the french riviera, and received a lot of comments!  :o

I promise that I will never, ever wear it in any game of golf played with a fellow GCA member (excluding perhaps Jordan Wall  ;)).

I am glad I am out of town (up in Pittsburgh for the week) so I cant go to my closet and count.  I havent done so in a while, I am sure it would scare me.

My wife has been hounding me to pare the inventory down slightly so I might just have to count and make some reductions.

James,

Is that your coming out of the closet shirt? Do 3 smileys with sungoggles mean something that rhymes with "HEY!"?

Not that there's anything wrong with all that....

I'd be pissed if you didn't wear that whilst golfing with me.....

It looks like a Jordan Wall collage in the shape of a shirt. Very artsy.

I am not Gay.  Although I do wear the occasional pink shirt.  Funny thing is, I recall my father did the same thing.  He was a very dapper dresser.

The  8) were met to imply that the shirt was so colourful/bright/garish that you needed to wear dark glasses.  It wasn't meant to imply 'cool'.  The 'tongue' smiley was meant to enhance that aspect.

My wife Bev suggested on a couple of occasions at the Ralph Lauren outlet shop in Vegas that I shouldn't buy the shirt.  But I just know the response I'll get from this guy the one day I wear it that will make it worthwhile.  Perhaps I should have listened to my wife.

I once went out to play with an electrical contractor who was doing a trade show for me in Orlando.  We drove up to his home town of Leesburg FL and played the excellent course there at Howey-in-the-Hills.  I picked out a tasteful outfit for that warm fall afternoon of a pink polo shirt (actually Polo with the pony) and white shorts.  I looked really good.  ;D

After golf he suggested we visit a bar he frequented for a few brews.  I was a bit put off by the line of Harley choppers parked outside but went in with my buddy, Dave.  Good thing he was along.  Here I was with the Nomads and me in my pink polo and white shorts.  I was a bit worried about my safety given the pool tables and all, but it turned out fine.  Again, good thing Dave was with me.  They all knew him.  ::) ;D

I'll sport a pink shirt in a minute..But not yellow..Me in a yellow shirt with black shorts.. I'd look like the fatter version of the Bumble Bee Tuna Guy.
The opposite is just as bad..A yellow shirt with white shorts, I'm Fat Ben Vereen..

Mike asked about lines of shirts as well. It seems of the mainstream lines Fairway and Green is very consistant and good diversity with the usual Bobby Jones upper lines being good but not a strong on diversity. Como's Bogatchi line is very good and I am starting to think Peter Millar and Mardi? are good as well.
