Yes, they re-"rooted" two or three of the more important holes on our gem a few years ago, and we lost the 3rd and the even more charming 4th, (The Road Hole) in the process.
Still, our Walter Neff-inspired Spanish clubhouse sits majestically over-seeing the links. Noal even dissed that the other night.....
Noel didn't see the greatness, didn't get the feel. I was too busy avoiding skulling a wedge into the Harkatoonian Brothers who always seem to come right into line of my errant tee shots when they are doing their daily walk in the park. (they made their money in a chain of Falafal stands called, HavaFalafal, located thoughout West Los Angeles.)
Mac wasn't there, but certainly his karmic presence was. You could see the squirrels all had a look of fear on their faces. Those poor lost souls.
I still consider him to be our head professional....
Tommy is all sour grapes on this one. Tommy do you know what nemesis means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by G. Shackelford.. You have to realize, I did not critique the clubhouse other than the fact that we could not access it to see the interior. For all I know it was a Vegas inspired Walter Neff design that is all form and no function..
I did incorrectly report that Shack played a Pro-V1. And for those who believe in the Evil Eye, there seemed to be a man of unknown origin, perhaps an Armenian or Turk who eyeballed Tommy somewhere on the 4th hole and really got in his head. I think he didnt care for Tommy's swing.
Also of note was the respective strategies of attacking the course with its sticky kikuyu.. Tommy was swinging full, getting his hips into things in order to generate spin. It didnt work and he didnt adapt. Shack tried successfully to bounce everything in.
I did like the course, I thought it needed more trees though.
