Bunkers are hazards!!!

It annoys me when bunkers are in stupid positions and have no strategic value to a hole.
You know, almost like they are there simply to look good and nothing else.

Why do [some] architects build holes where bunkers are used to be visually appealing, rather then for strategic options?
After all, bunkers ARE hazards.

This is a hole I really like btw, but just think some of the bunkers are pointless...

Where did you get the notion that the only use of a bunker was as a hazard?

I didnt.

I dont understand why architects put bunkers in pointless places jsut to mae the course 'look' better (ie-more contrived!)

I am sking this to learn why this happens as I dont get it.
