Confluence of tees?
« on: July 11, 2006, 12:40:19 PM »
The "Boxing the compass" topic made me wonder if any course had a layout where a single contigous area serves as the teeing ground for 4 or more holes.

Something like:

 o | o
 - + -
 o | o

"o" for green, "-" and "|" for fairways, and "+" for teeing area.

Would anyone have pictures?

Sheep Ranch...

I had of course thought of that, but by definition a place like the Sheep Ranch is not a "course" as in "an orderly succession" or "sequence", but a chaotic "where e'er you choose" sort of place.

Joe:  If you try to include in your diagram where the four previous greens would be located for those four tees, you'll see why it probably has not been done -- oops, I guess you did, but if you draw it to scale you are going to have some major safety issues.
