Nevertheless, what Hutchison called "Scarborough" was in fact Ganton.

Am I out of order , starting this thread ? .

Knowing that someone from the design team would read what I asked , I did ask myself if I would like my work posted and commented on .

But when you have paid almost a £100 for a round of golf , I thought I was entitled to ? .

You are not at all out of order.  It is an honest thread you started, on an interesting issue, and actually relevant to golf course architecture!

I'm not saying anything because I haven't played the course. :o I did get a drive through whilst the current remodel was in process and saw some of the new bunkers under construction, but that doesn't really entitle me to a fully informed and expressable opinion, IMO.

It's a great thread.

I think the Dukes course now looks a million times better in pictures then it did in person. It's also an excellent study.
