This project has been in the works for years, partly due to the location along mountain tops/ridges and some tough (and expensive) earthmoving needed to get some of it done.  It is due to open June 1 and will have limited public play.

Our own Dunlop White III wrote a nice article on the course for the 3 sister regional rags that cover much of central NC, Triad Golf Today/Triangle Golf Today/Blue Ridge Golfer.  There are also 2 nice aerials in the article:

Mr. Donald Steel -- besides his stature in the golf industry, he's quite the gentleman. He's returning to Primland in mid-June.

Primland's fairways skirt the outline of escarpments. A couple of greens sit on a shelf at the edge of a precipice. Good architect, great man, neat place, nice ownership and manangement.

Check it out when you get the chance!

Another excellent course by Mr. Steel is the Vineyard Golf Club, anybody from the treehouse visiting M.V. should pull whatever strings they can to play it, a real treat.

Gotta go, gotta go ;D
Live Jupiter, Fl, was  4 handicap, played top 100 US, top 75 World. Great memories, no longer play, 4 back surgeries. I don't miss a lot of things about golf, life is simpler with out it. I miss my 60 degree wedge shots, don't miss nasty weather, icing, back spasms. Last course I played was Augusta
