Toronto area GCA gathering

To all who have been out to our past gatherings:

We're planning an outing at Copetown Woods near Hamilton, a course created by our very own Dick Kirkpatrick. The club is going to book some times off for at least three full foursomes and Dick, the owner and the GM are going to join us. Dinner would follow in the clubhouse. This will likely take place in either late June or early July -- I'll post the date as it becomes clear. I think the aim is for a mid-Saturday afternoon round, followed by dinner and discussion of the course led by Dick.

For those that don't know it, Copetown was a very economic build and has become one of the success stories of golf in Ontario in the past few years. Dick aimed to build the course for $100,000 per hole and did a fine job on a tough piece of property.

However, I'd like to get a sense of who might be coming. Please PM me if you're interested.

Robert,

I do a fair amount of business in the area and need to get there soon anyway.  With enough notice, I would love to drive in from Detroit and join you guys.

And I took full blame then, and retain such now.  My utter ignorance in not trumpeting a course I have never seen remains inexcusable.

I've had several responses -- as I mentioned, I think we have space for at least three foursomes. The plan is to play and then have a dinner/discussion in the new clubhouse restaurant following.

Potential dates will be announced next week.

Robert,
Thanks for putting out an invite. I have a family vacation in that timeframe, but thanks for thinking of us on the site.

Hi Robert,

I just picked up two employees in my company's Toronto office. Well, really the office is in Mississauga. Sounds like late June/early July could be a great time for a "meet the new boss" (same as the old boss!) team meeting?

PM with details as they become available.

Robert,

I'll be in Toronto visiting family and likely playing Glen Abbey in July, I just exactly know when yet. If the dates correspond, I'd love to take part.

Robert,
I will attend if available.
I've never played Copetown so I look forward to it.
Thanks.
Kerry.
