Crystal Downs is 73 years old.

Healthy Birch trees only survive 40-50 years.

I suspect the trees were an afterthought by some well intentioned but misquided soul.

I can't argue with that, the trees are not big enough to be that old. I just thought it was a great illustration for this thread.

I can tell you that when I was a kid we saved a Birch on our lot from being cut by the city which was estimated to be about 100 year old. It was huge, as in 5 foot diameter.
